We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing UK manufacturer seeking a proactive and commercially driven professional to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in securing new business opportunities, managing tender submissions, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.
The Role:
The successful candidate will take ownership of the full bid and tender process, from identifying opportunities through to submission and post-bid analysis. Working closely with operational, commercial, and delivery teams, you will ensure all submissions are competitive, compliant, and professionally presented.
You will also support broader sales and marketing activities, helping to strengthen client relationships and secure long-term framework agreements and negotiated contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, track, and manage tender opportunities from initial review through to final submission
- Coordinate and manage bid programmes, ensuring all deadlines and compliance requirements are met
- Produce high-quality tender submissions, quotations, and supporting documentation
- Work collaboratively with operational and commercial teams to gather technical and project information for submissions
- Analyse bid outcomes and provide reporting to improve future win rates and bid strategies
- Maintain and continuously improve bid content libraries, templates, case studies, and supporting documentation
- Monitor market trends, industry standards, and relevant regulations to ensure submissions remain competitive
- Support marketing and PR initiatives to promote brand visibility and future business opportunities
- Engage with local authorities, contractors, framework providers, and key stakeholders to support business development activities
- Follow up on quotations and tender submissions to maximise conversion opportunities
- Support wider operational and commercial activities where required
About You:
To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience within bids, tenders, sales support, or commercial coordination roles
- A strong understanding of tendering processes within manufacturing, engineering, construction, infrastructure, or related sectors
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building abilities
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using Sage systems
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce professional tender documentation
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful commercial insights
- A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach
