The Opportunity:
- Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join a dynamic Mechanical Engineering team. You will contribute to a wide range of design studies, consultancy work, and engineering projects, delivering innovative and robust mechanical design solutions.

Your Role:
- You will be responsible for delivering detailed mechanical and piping system designs, 3D modelling, and technical drawings across multiple engineering projects, working closely with other disciplines to ensure high-quality design outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce 3D models of company products and associated equipment
- Design full system packages including pipework, pneumatic and electrical hookups
- Interpret client specifications, internal standards, and design calculations
- Create detailed engineering drawings including: General arrangement and assembly drawings, Manufacturing component drawings, Sub-assembly isometrics, Plate developments and pre-form forging details
- Generate bills of materials for procurement and manufacturing
- Produce hydrostatic test and weld location diagrams
- Support cross-disciplinary engineering teams and departments
- Check and review CAD drawings from engineers and contractors
- Support mechanical design assurance activities
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in piping system design
- Strong experience with Solid Edge CAD (essential)
- Knowledge of SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Inventor
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (MEng/MSc preferred, or BEng/BSc with strong fundamentals)
- Strong understanding of engineering principles
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
