CNC Machining Technician
OTE: £38,771–£41,871 per annum + overtime + bonuses

The Role
Working as part of a highly skilled machining team, you will operate and set CNC machining centres, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining exceptional standards of quality, accuracy and workmanship.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operate CNC machining centres, including twin horizontal/twin pallet machines.
- Set up fixtures, tooling and jobs in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Work with CNC programmes and machine parameters to achieve required quality and output.
- Deliver daily production targets while maintaining the correct mix of work and Kanban stock levels.
- Carry out quality checks and ensure defects are identified before reaching the next process.
- Identify and report production issues, delays and machine/process concerns.
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve productivity, quality and machining processes.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, Health & Safety and workmanship.
- Work effectively as part of a skilled manufacturing team.
About You
We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist, CNC Technician or CNC Setter/Operator with a strong machining background and a genuine focus on quality and continuous improvement.
You'll ideally have:
- Minimum 3 years' CNC machining experience.
- Apprentice-trained or equivalent machining qualification/experience.
- Good knowledge of CNC programmes and machine parameters.
- Experience setting fixtures, tooling and jobs.
- Experience working to Standard Operating Procedures and production targets.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and quality requirements.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Awareness of Health & Safety and COSHH requirements.
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- A team-focused, reliable and proactive approach.
Salary & Shifts
- Guaranteed basic salary: £38,771.53 per annum.
- OTE: £38,771–£41,871 per annum based on additional bonuses.
- Double-day shift premium x1.15.
- Level A overtime: £24.20 per hour (1.5x).
- Level B overtime: £32.26 per hour (2x).
- Additional monthly performance bonus averaging £195–£350 (for reference).

Shift pattern:
Monday–Thursday: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
Friday: 06:00–11:30 / 11:30–17:00
Rotating double-day shift.
