The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced CNC Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC machinery, supporting programming activities, and leading a team of operators to ensure production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
You will play a key role in driving performance, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the development of the machining team.

Your Role
As CNC Supervisor, you will oversee daily machining operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards. You will also support programming, troubleshooting, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC vertical lathes and support machining operations
- Set, program, and run machines using Fanuc or Fagor controls
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Machine and measure components to tight tolerances
- Select and set tooling with correct speeds and feeds
- Supervise daily production activities and operator performance
- Ensure health & safety and housekeeping standards are maintained
- Train, support, and upskill apprentices and operators
- Carry out performance and training reviews
- Plan upcoming work and ensure materials/documentation are prepared
- Identify and resolve production or technical issues
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a CNC leadership or supervisory role
- Strong CNC machining experience (vertical lathes essential)
- Ability to program and operate CNC machines
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Confident working with technical drawings and tight tolerances
- Organised, proactive, and solution-focused approach
- Experience training or developing others (desirable)
