The Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced Contract Project Manager – Rail to support the delivery of rail infrastructure projects across the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong project management professional with a background in rail, civil engineering or infrastructure delivery to manage projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage rail infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.

• Oversee project programmes, budgets, resources and subcontractors.

• Ensure all works comply with relevant railway standards, health and safety requirements and quality procedures.

• Coordinate site teams, engineers, suppliers and stakeholders.

• Monitor project progress, identify risks and resolve issues.

• Maintain project documentation, reports and progress updates.

• Ensure projects are delivered efficiently and meet client expectations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the rail industry.

• Strong knowledge of rail infrastructure and project delivery.

• Experience managing budgets, programmes, subcontractors and site teams.

• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

• Strong understanding of health and safety and railway compliance requirements.

• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the North West.

• Ideally based in Derbyshire or within a commutable distance.
