A leading UK demolition and civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Demolition Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of major demolition and deconstruction projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced demolition professional to take responsibility for multiple projects, leading teams and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest standards.
The Role
As Demolition Contracts Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of demolition and deconstruction projects, managing Project Managers, Site Managers and operational teams.
You will work closely with clients, subcontractors and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple demolition and deconstruction projects from mobilisation through to completion.
- Lead and support Project Managers, Site Managers and operational teams.
- Ensure demolition works are delivered safely and in accordance with relevant legislation, RAMS and company procedures.
- Take responsibility for programme, resources, quality and operational performance.
- Monitor commercial performance, costs and project profitability.
- Work closely with Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams to manage risk and maximise project performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Oversee procurement, plant, labour and subcontractor requirements.
- Ensure projects are delivered to agreed programmes and specifications.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and cost control.
- Attend client and project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Maintain high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance across all projects.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Demolition Contracts Manager with a strong background in demolition and deconstruction and a proven track record of managing complex projects and operational teams.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the demolition industry.
- Strong knowledge of demolition and deconstruction methods and processes.
- Experience managing multiple projects and site teams.
- Strong commercial awareness and project management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication and client management skills.
- NVQ Level 6 or Level 7 in Demolition – essential.
- Black CCDO Card – essential.
- SMSTS.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
