A leading demolition and civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Demolition Site Manager to oversee demolition and deconstruction projects across the North West.
Based at Trafford Park, Manchester, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced demolition professional to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
The Role
As a Demolition Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the overall management of demolition and deconstruction works on site, leading teams and coordinating labour, plant and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day demolition and deconstruction site operations.
- Lead and manage Site Supervisors, operatives and subcontractors.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with RAMS and company procedures.
- Manage site programmes, resources, labour and plant.
- Monitor progress and ensure projects remain on programme.
- Conduct site inductions, briefings and toolbox talks.
- Maintain high standards of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, clients and subcontractors.
- Monitor site productivity and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.
- Ensure works are completed to the required quality and specification.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Demolition Site Manager with a strong background in demolition and deconstruction and proven experience managing site teams.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within the demolition industry.
- Strong knowledge of demolition and deconstruction methods.
- Experience managing site teams, subcontractors and day-to-day operations.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety, RAMS and site compliance.
- Black CCDO Card – essential.
- NVQ Level 6 or Level 7 in Demolition – essential.
- SMSTS – essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel across the North West.
