We are seeking a driven and self-motivated Direct Sales Representative to join our well established client. This role will focus on the direct sale of machinery and attachments within a defined territory, alongside parts sales to national direct customers.
While operating within the plant machinery sector, this is not a conventional sales role. The successful candidate will proactively generate leads, build strong customer relationships, and convert opportunities through a consultative and technical sales approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify, generate, and develop new sales opportunities within your assigned territory
- Sell machinery, attachments, and parts directly to customers
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to closing and aftersales support
- Conduct on-site demonstrations
- Build strong long-term relationships with customers and understand their operational needs
- Interpret technical specification sheets and clearly explain product features and benefits in practical terms
- Recommend the most suitable machines and attachments for each customer’s application
- Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline activity
Requirements:
- Proven ability to work independently and manage your own territory
- Strong drive, motivation, and proactive sales mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain machinery specifications
- Full UK driving licence (ideally with zero penalty points)
Desirable:
- Experience within plant machinery, construction equipment, or a related technical sales environment
- Background in field sales or territory management
Salary & Commission:
- £30,000 Per Annum + Commission.
