Electronics Test & Quality Engineer

- Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30am - 17:00pm & Friday 08:30am - 14:00pm
We are looking for an experienced Electronics Test & Quality Engineer to join a growing engineering team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining electronics testing, PCB fault-finding, quality engineering, compliance and continuous improvement.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Production, Purchasing and suppliers to ensure products are safe, reliable, compliant and manufactured to consistently high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and fault-find electronic PCBs, systems and assemblies
- Investigate defects and lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Manage internal, supplier and customer non-conformances
- Conduct internal product, process and quality audits
- Support and maintain ISO 9001 quality standards
- Lead and support external certification audits
- Monitor quality trends, recurring defects and supplier performance
- Develop test procedures, inspection standards and acceptance criteria
- Create and maintain technical documentation, work instructions and troubleshooting guides
- Produce technical reports and electronic system schematics
- Support Production with technical fault diagnosis and process improvements
- Work with Design Engineering on test results, design improvements and product development
- Support the development of production test equipment and test fixtures
About You
- Experience in electronics testing, fault-finding or quality engineering
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, PCBs and test equipment
- Experience with root-cause analysis and non-conformance management
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems
- Able to interpret technical drawings, schematics and engineering documentation
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Methodical, organised and highly quality-focused
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple departments
- Electronics engineering qualification or relevant practical experience
