Foundry Operative
Salary: £35,079.24 per year
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 12-hour day shifts
Shift Times: 5:30am–5:30pm or 6:00am–6:00pm
The Role:
We are looking for reliable and hardworking Foundry Operatives to join a busy manufacturing environment.
You will be responsible for supporting the production of high-quality metal castings, operating equipment safely, carrying out production and finishing duties, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general foundry and production duties.
- Assist with casting, finishing and handling of components.
- Operate machinery and equipment following training.
- Carry out basic quality checks and report defects.
- Follow health & safety procedures and use PPE correctly.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work as part of a team to meet production targets.
Requirements:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Comfortable with physically demanding work.
- Previous foundry, manufacturing or industrial experience is desirable.
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on safety.
- Able to work 12-hour shifts and remain productive throughout the day.
- Willing to learn and develop new skills.
Full training will be provided where required.
This is a 12 week temporary to permanent position.
