General Operative
- Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire
- Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Salary: £12.82 - £14.28 per hour + overtime.
- Working hours: 6am - 2:30pm or 8am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
The Role
We are currently recruiting for General Operatives to join a leading UK manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business that manufactures high-quality products.
Working as part of the production team, you will support the manufacturing, assembly and preparation of products, ensuring quality standards and production targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and manufacture products using hand and power tools.
- Operate machinery and production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards.
- Pack, label and prepare finished products for dispatch.
- Load and unload materials as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Follow Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Support other departments as required to meet production deadlines.
- Operate overhead crane.
- Operate FLT Counterbalance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment is desirable.
- Experience with overhead crane or FLT Counterbalance.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
- Flexible approach with a willingness to learn new skills.
