Junior Print Operative

About the Role
We are recruiting for a Junior Print Operative to join a well-established and growing large-format print business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the print and production industry.
Working as part of a busy production team, you will assist with the operation of large-format printing and finishing equipment, ensuring work is produced accurately, efficiently and to a high standard. You will also work closely with the design, sales and finishing teams to ensure customer orders are completed on time.
Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or warehouse experience who are keen to learn new skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload large-format printers.
- Operate printing and production equipment.
- Prepare print files (RIP) for production.
- Check proofs against print files to ensure accuracy.
- Measure, trim and cut printed materials.
- Apply eyelets and complete finishing tasks.
- Present completed work to the finishing department.
- Test tension fabric graphics where required.
- Pack finished products ready for dispatch.
- Store raw materials and finished goods safely.
- Clean and maintain machinery and workstations.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Support other departments as required to meet production deadlines.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous warehouse, manufacturing or production experience (preferred but not essential).
- Is reliable, hardworking and eager to learn.
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Has basic IT, numeracy and communication skills.
- Can work in a fast-paced production environment.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 5:00pm
- 42.5 hours per week
Flexibility is required during busy periods, with occasional early starts, late finishes and weekend work when required.
