Junior Product Designer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Junior Product Designer to join a growing design and manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a creative and technically minded individual looking to develop their skills in product design, CAD, and manufacturing.
You will work closely with the sales and production teams to design and develop a wide range of bespoke industrial textile products for a variety of sectors. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in design, problem-solving, and product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed product designs, technical drawings, CAD files, and manufacturing instructions.
- Support the development of new and existing products from concept through to production.
- Work closely with sales and production teams to deliver effective design solutions.
- Produce accurate drawing packages, parts lists, and bills of materials.
- Assist with product improvements, innovation, and design optimisation.
- Support customer requirements and contribute to successful project delivery.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Qualification or experience in design, draughting, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong mathematical ability and excellent 3D visualisation skills.
- Good computer literacy and confidence learning new software.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
- A creative mindset with a willingness to learn and develop.
Desirable Experience:
- CAD design experience.
- Experience working with textiles, flexible materials, or manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of creating production drawings or manufacturing instructions.
- Practical skills such as sewing, templating, or hands-on craft experience.
