Lead Service Engineer - Water Treatment
We are seeking an experienced Lead Service Engineer to join a growing Water Consultancy & Equipment team, supporting the installation, servicing, and maintenance of advanced water treatment systems across a range of client sites.
This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to a technically strong engineer who enjoys problem-solving, leading by example, and working across varied and challenging environments.
Key responsibilities:
- Service and maintain water treatment systems including softeners, RO units, UV systems, ozone systems, side stream filtration, and dosing units
- Diagnose faults and deliver effective technical solutions to ensure optimal system performance
- Lead installation projects from planning through to completion
- Act as a technical point of contact for equipment and service queries
- Support development of service procedures and continuous improvement initiatives
- Train, mentor, and support other engineers within the team
- Monitor performance standards and ensure consistent service delivery
- Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Travel to client sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays and weekend work
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in servicing water treatment equipment (minimum 3–5 years)
- Proven fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills
- Experience leading installations or supervising engineering work
- Confident communicator with experience training or mentoring others
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety in industrial environments
- Flexible, hands-on approach with willingness to travel
- Customer-focused with strong relationship-building skills
