    Learner and Employer Engagement Officer - Manchester

    Learner & Employer Engagement Officer

    £32,000–£35,000 | Full-time | Monday–Friday 

    We are seeking a highly motivated and target-driven Learner & Employer Engagement Officer to join a growing training and employability team.

    This role is central to driving learner recruitment, employer engagement, and successful job outcomes across funded training and skills programmes. You will manage the full learner journey from initial enquiry through to enrolment, training, and employment.

    You will also be responsible for building strong relationships with employers, referral partners, and stakeholders to generate vacancies, secure work placements, and support learners into sustainable employment, apprenticeships, or further education.

    A key focus of the role is achieving KPIs across learner enrolments, interview outcomes, and job placements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Generate and convert learner leads through referral and employer networks
    • Engage with employers to source vacancies and work placement opportunities
    • Manage end-to-end learner onboarding, screening, and suitability assessments
    • Provide information, advice, and guidance throughout the learner journey
    • Support learners into employment, apprenticeships, or further training
    • Deliver strong employer engagement activity and relationship building
    • Maintain accurate CRM records and weekly performance reporting
    • Attend external venues (Jobcentre Plus, community hubs, partner sites)
    • Meet and exceed KPI targets across enrolment and employment outcomes
    • Coordinate safeguarding and compliance requirements where necessary

    About You:

    • Experience in recruitment, employability, sales, or learner engagement
    • Strong track record in a target/KPI-driven environment
    • Confident engaging with employers and external stakeholders
    • Excellent communication, organisation, and relationship-building skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
    • Knowledge of training, adult education, or funded programmes (desirable)

    Desirable Experience:

    • Recruitment or welfare-to-work background
    • Construction, engineering, or manufacturing sector exposure
    • Experience working with employability or skills programmes

    Qualifications:

    • GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent)
    • IAG Level 2 (or willingness to work towards)
