Legionella Risk Assessor - Leeds

We are looking for a motivated and detail-focused Water Hygiene professional to join a growing Environmental & Safety team, covering the Yorkshire, Humberside, and Lincolnshire regions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about water safety, compliance, and protecting public health to develop their career within a specialist consultancy environment. You’ll work across a variety of client sites, delivering essential water hygiene services and ensuring systems remain safe, compliant, and well managed.

Key responsibilities:

• Carrying out water system risk assessments across a range of sites
• Auditing water hygiene management systems and monitoring regimes
• Undertaking routine water hygiene tasks including flushing, temperature checks, and sampling
• Completing written scheme audits and supporting compliance activities
• Producing clear, accurate reports and maintaining high professional standards
• Working independently and as part of a supportive technical team
• Travelling across the region as part of your day-to-day role

What we’re looking for:

• City & Guilds qualification in water hygiene risk assessment
• Strong understanding of UK water hygiene legislation and guidance (ACoP L8, HSG274, BS 8580)
• Experience working with complex water systems in commercial or industrial environments
• Confident communicator with strong client-facing skills
• Good report writing ability and competent IT skills (Word & Excel)
• Ability to pass enhanced security clearance where required
