The Role
As a Machine Operative, you’ll play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for operating machinery, maintaining quality standards, and supporting the wider production team to meet daily targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and setting machinery to ensure efficient production output
- Completing training across multiple machine operative functions
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping
- Following all health & safety procedures and work instructions
- Monitoring production targets and meeting deadlines consistently
- Recording production and operational information accurately
- Reporting any issues promptly to team leaders and colleagues
- Working closely with the wider production team to keep operations running smoothly
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Assisting with additional duties when required to support production needs
What We’re Looking For
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Forklift licence desirable
