Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our well established client.
The Role:
- Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will form part of the maintenance team who will perform preventative maintenance, installation work, breakdown repairs and general maintenance on a variety of plant and equipment types.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a Task Specific Risk Assessment for each task and follow relevant SOPs; any deviations must be approved by the Maintenance Team Leader.
- Report significant issues during or after a task and be available for redeployment.
- Follow company rules and permits; ensure equipment is isolated and safe before work begins.
- Complete tasks with the area left clean, safe, and all guards refitted.
- Correctly book out parts from stores and attribute cost codes.
- Report plant issues affecting safety or reliability.
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times and ensure lifting equipment is in good condition.
- Maintain housekeeping in the workshop and maintenance areas.
- Operate equipment and company vehicles safely.
- Safeguard personal and company tools; return all tools to proper storage and report any damage.
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Energy policies.
Requirements:
- Experience working in heavy manufacturing industry.
- Apprenticeship trained in Mechanical Engineering.
- Safety culture awareness.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliability and good timekeeping.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm.
Starting Salary: £41,065 Per Annum.
This is a Full time, Permanent position.
