Project Engineer
- Location: Ross on Wye
- Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 per annum + benefits
- Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm / Flexible
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business. This role will be responsible for delivering a range of CAPEX and operational projects from concept and design through to installation, commissioning, and handover.
The successful candidate will have a strong engineering background, excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage engineering and CAPEX projects from design through to completion.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Develop cost-effective engineering solutions and maximise return on investment.
- Oversee project planning, budgets, schedules, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Work closely with operations and engineering teams to minimise disruption during project implementation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive engineering best practices.
Requirements:
- Engineering Degree or Mechanical/Electrical Apprenticeship qualification.
- Minimum 5 years' engineering experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven project management experience delivering engineering or CAPEX projects.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
- Experience using CAD software and project management tools.
- Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
