A leading UK civil engineering contractor is expanding its project delivery team following the award of several major new contracts. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of major civil engineering projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex earthworks, highways, infrastructure and remediation projects, with responsibility for safe delivery, programme, quality and commercial performance.
The Role:
As Project Manager, you will lead projects from the front, managing site teams and working closely with clients, designers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Take overall responsibility for safe and successful project delivery.
- Lead and support site teams to deliver projects on time, to specification and within budget.
- Ensure all site activities comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
- Manage programme, resources and operational performance.
- Work closely with the QS and Contracts Manager to manage costs, risk and commercial performance.
- Act as the main site contact for clients, designers, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain strong communication and relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive high standards of quality and delivery across all projects.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced civil engineering Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering earthworks, highways and infrastructure projects.
Essential requirements:
- Degree qualified.
- Proven experience managing civil engineering projects.
- Experience across earthworks, highways and/or infrastructure.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Black Manager Card.
- First Aid at Work.
- Full UK driving licence.
