Security Officer

Due to continued expansion, we are recruiting an experienced Security Officer to join our well established client.
The Role:
- The Security Officer reports to the HR Manager and is responsible for responding to any security matters and conforms to the requirements of Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental and Energy Policies.
Job Duties:
- Monitoring and analysing CCTV camera footage
- Responding promptly to alarms and emergencies
- Helping and escorting visitors and employees when and if required
- Managing the access of the site, and completing logs where required
- Regular site patrols, check calls and reporting of incidents
- To ensure the delivery of consistently high standards of customer service.
- To fulfil health and safety responsibilities by adhering to the requirements of the company’s health and safety policy
- To undertake the new starter security induction and to issue new starter equipment (e.g. car parking barrier pass)
- Communicating any irregularities with management
- To ensure the Company vehicles are taxed when required
- To carry out stop/search procedures
- Security handovers
- Monitor employee, contractor and visitor car parking
- Any other duties as required by the HR Manager or Management Team.
Requirements:
- SIA Licence
- Able to use own initiative
- The ability to work proactively and use intuition
- Able to work alone and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- A thorough and keen attention to detail
- The ability to remain alert and aware of surroundings
- An ability to remain patient and calm under pressure
- Understanding of the technology used within the company
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic IT Skills
- Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
- Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
