Senior CNC Machinist
Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire
Salary: £36,000 – £46,000 DOE
Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Multi-Skilled CNC Machinist to join a modern and expanding manufacturing operation in Chesterfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC professional to work with state-of-the-art machinery, including advanced 5-axis CNC equipment, while developing a broader multi-skilled skill set across the machine shop.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, operate and optimise 5-axis CNC machinery.
- Read and work from technical drawings.
- Make program and setting adjustments to maintain tight tolerances.
- Carry out quality checks and accurately record production data.
- Cross-train on beam saws, edgebanders and other machinery.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping.
- Take ownership of machine performance and product quality.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven 5-axis CNC machining experience – essential.
- SCM CNC experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in timber, joinery or door manufacturing would be advantageous.
- Confident reading technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and keen to develop a multi-skilled skill set.

Working Hours
Afternoons: Monday – Friday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm
Days: Monday 6:00am – 3:30pm, Tuesday – Friday 6:00am – 3:00pm
