Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our well established client.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of employees and visitors by preventing exposure to welding flash.
- Clearly mark steel left in a hot state upon job completion with “HOT,” including the time and date.
- Return all welding sets and cutting equipment (including gas bottles) to their designated storage areas after use.
- Remove sharp edges from cut steel before storage or further use.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels on the Steel Rack, reporting any shortages as necessary.
- Conduct Leak Testing on all cutting (bottle) sets when any parts have been changed.
- Ensure personal welding coding is valid and suitable for the work being undertaken, and notify the Team Leader if certification is missing or in doubt.
- Maintain all welding and cutting equipment in a safe, serviceable condition.
- Communicate with colleagues in the fitting shop before starting any work that may generate excessive fumes; ensure adequate extraction is used at all times, which may include opening fitting shop doors for ventilation.
- Ensure all work adheres to Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Energy policies and standards.
Requirements:
- Experienced welder fabricator.
- Completed level 3 welding apprenticeship.
- Proficiency with various welding and hand tools, strong manual dexterity, and a deep understanding of safety procedures.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety standards and the ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 3:30pm.
Starting salary: £41,065 Per Annum.
This is a Full time, Permanent position.
