Yard Operative
- Starting Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 per annum.
- Working hours: Regular Days, Monday to Friday.
- This is a Full time, Permanent position.
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our client's service team in Lincoln. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient yard while supporting the movement, inspection, and storage of machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload machinery safely.
- Inspect machines on arrival and dispatch, ensuring paperwork is accurate.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised yard and workshop.
- Assist with goods inwards, goods outwards, and warranty parts returns.
- Support the control of contractors and visitors in line with Health & Safety procedures.
- Work closely with the service team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the depot.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar environment.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and tidy workplace.
- Forklift licence or experience operating plant machinery.
- Full UK driving licence.
